After a gap of several years we have re-introduced the Duke of Edinburgh programme for our senior students.
The ethos of the Award echoes what we hope to achieve for our pupils. Teaching them life skills and stretching them to achieve their best in all areas of life. Some of their work is carried out in school as part of the curriculum and the rest is out of school work.
Expedition.
For their expedition the students will be undertaking a canal boat trip. They have completed their practice trip, cooking for themselves, manning the locks and picking litter from the towpaths.
Celebration Event
In June 2018 the students attended an event at the University of Herts attended by HRH prince Edward, the Lord Lieutenant of Herts and Lord Salisbury. Our students were able to talk to these dignitaries and others about the work they do for their Dof E Award.
