We were given advanced status in 2018.
In Sept 2016 we were awarded the ICT Mark for the 4th time having previously had the award in 2013 2010 and 2007.
In May 2011 we became a centre of Excellence for the MOVE programme and will be able to support other schools in developing this programme. Congratulations to Tanis Lang for leading our MOVE work.

June 2010 the school received the Quality Mark for MOVE – only the 5th school in Europe to achieve this mark. It celebrates the work we do to encourage mobility in pupils with physical disabilities through the MOVE programme.
We we re-accredited in 2017.
Lakeside is the first school in thr UK - econd in the world - to be awarded a Certificate Of Commendation form the Intensive Interaction Institute. Pauline Tofts is honoured as practitioner of the Year
The school was awarded the Healthy Schools Standard in 2003 which recognises the school as a healthy place to learn and to work. This considers both the emotional and physical well being of staff and students.
The standard was maintained and recognised in 2004. The school undertook re-recognition under the new standards in 2007 and was again successful.
