The expertise and support the governors bring to our school is highly valued.
Governors are responsible for the school's policies and practice. Although much of the day to day work is delegated to the head teacher and her staff, input from the governors is essential.
At every meeting governors are asked to declare if they have an interest in any of the items which might prevent them from giving an unbiased opinion. Annually all governors are asked to provide a list of any pecuniary or other interests they have that might have an an impact on their decision making. Currently one governor has declared the fact that his wife is a member of staff at the school and does not take part in any decision making that would impact on her role in school. No other governors have any declared interests. The register of interests is available to view in the school office.
The Governing Body was re-constituted underthe new regulations in Spetember 2015. The constitution allows for 12 Governors and all places are filled.
